This blog has followed my life with cystic fibrosis, having had two double lung transplants, being placed on ecmo a form of life support, learning to walk and talk and facing chronic rejection twice. ReplyDeleteYou are an inspiration and proof that God exists. Your light shines through and I'm sure it will continue to shine for years to come. You deserve all the love in this world. You've got a friend in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, that prays for you and your loved ones! Take care!
ReplyDeletewhat a lovely young lady, you will give so much hope to others out there, wishing you the best, best possible recovery and future, love from Melanie (mum to Owain, 13, who has CF).
ReplyDeleteYour documentary aired in Australian last night and as soon as it was finished I registered myself on the donor list. Hopefully one day I can help in keeping such a beautiful couple together and to keep such a vibrant life going. Thank you for your inspiration!
ReplyDeleteHi, I'm a brit in Australia on teacher exchange and we have covered Cf with my year 10's. After seeing your programme on ABC here in Australia, I recorded it and played it to my students, they clapped when you got your transplant. I think you are having a profound effect upon many people and raising awareness of both CF and the need for people to register as donors.
ReplyDeletePlease pass on my best regards to your husband and the rest of your family as they have coped magnificently. Most of all thankyou for sharing your times with us and inspiring people.
I'm looking forward to returning to the UK (derbyhsire) and no doubt we will back down in devon on holiday and will think of you when we pass Honiton etc.
Thanks
Andrew Stirrup
